I don’t sell rankings. I build search revenue systems for the AI era — SEO strategies tested on my own revenue-generating digital assets since 2018.

In-House Media Asset — Topical Authority & Commercial Growth

Context: A self-funded commercial content asset, built and operated with my own capital. Revenue depended entirely on search visibility for buyer-intent queries — the pages that compare, evaluate and recommend — competing against established, well-funded publishers in the same space.

The Challenge: The asset had plenty of content and steady traffic, but the wrong pages were visible. Informational articles were outranking the commercial pages they were meant to support, similar pages were competing against each other for the same queries, and growth had flattened despite continued publishing. More content was not the answer — the structure underneath it was broken.

What the Diagnosis Showed:

  • Keyword cannibalisation: multiple pages targeting the same buyer-intent queries, splitting relevance and authority between them.
  • Intent mismatch: educational content ranking where searchers were ready to compare and buy, so visibility was not turning into revenue.
  • Misdirected internal authority: internal links flowed to whatever was published most recently, not to the commercial pages that carried the business.
  • Weak crawl priority: key commercial pages sat deep in the site structure, treated by search engines as low priority.

The Strategy: The topical map was rebuilt around commercial intent first (framework Step 2). Overlapping pages were consolidated into single authoritative hubs, with redirects preserving their equity. Internal linking was re-engineered so supporting content deliberately funnels authority to the commercial hubs (Step 3). Every commercial page was restructured around real decision criteria — the comparisons, trade-offs and specifics a buyer actually needs — instead of generic product descriptions. A full technical pass (Step 1) fixed crawl depth, indexation and template issues that had capped the asset’s ceiling.

The Outcome: Rankings consolidated onto the pages built to convert, instead of fragmenting across duplicates. Commercial pages became the asset’s primary organic landing pages, topical authority compounded within the clusters that mattered, and revenue followed the visibility — growth produced by architecture, not by publishing volume. Full data breakdown shared privately on the Strategy Audit call.

What This Proves: Traffic is not a business. This is the same diagnostic I run at the start of every engagement: find where visibility and revenue have come apart, and rebuild the structure so they compound together.
